Project Summary

The Place 4 Self Storage partnered with Kuboid to launch a new, lifestyle-focused self storage brand across multiple locations, beginning with sites in Petersfield and Alton, followed by a third location in Swindon. With a clear vision to create a modern offering, the project combined decades of industry experience with a fresh approach to branding, design and operational efficiency. Early collaboration during the acquisition phase allowed Kuboid to support feasibility, layout planning and investor confidence from the outset.

At Petersfield, the building presented several structural challenges, including differing warehouse heights and an existing mezzanine that needed to be retained. Kuboid developed a solution that integrated the spaces through carefully designed internal ramps, while also incorporating Lödige lift installations to improve accessibility across multiple levels. Alongside the core fit-out, Kuboid also coordinated the delivery of fire protection and electrical packages, ensuring all systems were fully integrated within the overall design.

In parallel, the Alton facility was delivered alongside Petersfield, with learnings from the first project enabling a more streamlined and efficient installation process. Kuboid worked closely with the client to realise a distinctive brand identity, sourcing bespoke door finishes in a specific shade of green to reflect the positioning of the business.

The result is the successful launch of two high-performing facilities that form the foundation of a growing self storage platform. With further sites already in development, The Place 4 Self Storage is set to expand using a proven delivery model that incorporates advanced infrastructure such as dry riser fire protection, ensuring each facility is built for long-term performance and scalability.
